Richard Lynch Consulting are recruiting a Conference and Banqueting Manager for a busy 4-star hotel in Co. Tipperary. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all conferences, meetings, weddings, and events, coordinating all day-to-day activities in the Conference & Banqueting Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage daily operations and coordinate all areas of the Conference, Meeting and Events Department.
Coordinate continually with event organisers before and during each event.
Ensure the highest standards of health and safety, cleanliness, and hygiene during buildup and on the event.
Manage wedding events effectively and efficiently.
Complete duty management shifts on a regular basis.
Observe all shift and opening/closing procedures, adhering to all EHO guidelines.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in managing a large volume, high-end conference and events operation.
Experience managing a very busy wedding market to the highest standards.
Highly effective, dynamic leadership and team management abilities.
Reliable, mature, motivated, and professional person required.
Strong attention to detail and standards/service driven.
Proven experience in coaching, training, mentoring your team, job chats, appraisals, and succession planning.
Positive attitude, “can do” approach, friendly and outgoing personality.
Minimum 3 years of Conference & Banqueting Management experience in a busy 4-star hotel.
Full legal status to work in Ireland (work permit is not available for this role).
Fluent English and excellent IT and admin skills required.
