Richard Lynch Consulting are currently recruiting a Sales and Marketing Director for a busy 4* Hotel in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of all aspects of Sales and Marketing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Candidates must have a proven track record in a leading 4* hotel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and monitor annual sales and marketing plans for the hotel.
Manage all sales and marketing activities, ensuring sales resources are used to maximise revenue channels.
Assist in budget planning.
Manage a portfolio of existing accounts.
Identify, target, and secure new business in all areas, including rooms, outlets, meetings, weddings, and events.
Promote all food and beverage outlets proactively.
Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets for existing and new business accounts in agreed market segments.
Organise and operate in-house events.
Maintain an appropriate profile for the hotel in local, national, and international markets.
Set corporate negotiated rates for individual companies within the sales budget.
Manage local, regional, and national activities including trade shows, networking events, workshops, wedding fairs, presentations, and sales missions.
Achieve set revenue targets for existing and new business accounts in agreed market segments.
Use the Company Customer Relationship Management system to record all sales activity and results.
Identify public relations opportunities and take appropriate actions directly with media/organisations or through an appointed Public Relations Company.
Manage agreed marketing spends and log return on investment annually, ensuring no overspends.
Monitor results and adjust activities to ensure objectives and activities are achieved.
Provide team management, coaching, and leadership.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Proven track record in a leading 4* hotel.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management systems.
Must have the right to work in Ireland without restrictions.
