Revenue Manager for a 4* Hotel in Cork

Richard Lynch Consulting are recruiting an experienced Revenue Manager for a 4-star hotel in Cork. We are searching for a passionate hospitality individual to lead the reservations team. Reporting to the DOSM/GM and working closely with the Front Desk to ensure the maximisation of all hotel bedroom sales opportunities are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the reservation team and process to ensure all team members can carry out their duties in a timely manner.
Monitor all telephone/email traffic and appropriately record reservations.
Handle both individual and group bookings.
Perform regular checks on future individual and group bookings.
Monitor and wash wedding blocks in a timely manner.
Work with the sales team to identify leads and pass them to the appropriate salesperson.
Deal with customer complaints in line with company policy.
Manage no-show and cancellation reservations and process charges according to hotel policy.
Understand group, leisure, and transient market segments.
Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports in line with hotel requirements.
Liaise constantly with the housekeeping department to ensure all guest requests are met.
Ensure the front office department is fully aware of all promotions/packages for sale.
Work closely with the sales and marketing team for best practices.
Collaborate with the GM to fully understand and take direction on rate changes and strategy.
Understand the systems and procedures in place in line with the overall strategy.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in managing a reservations team in a hospitality setting.
Strong understanding of hotel reservation systems and market segments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle customer complaints professionally.
Proficiency in compiling and analysing reports.
Ability to work closely with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Full legal status to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.
